Hi, my name is Judy Webber I am a 40ish single British female living in Altea, the cultural centre of the Costa Blanca. I am the Founder and Director of The Fusion Gallery.
You may know me already - I was featured in the television programme Living on the Costa Blanca which has been aired repeatedly on Sky Television and I was the winner of the Business Start-Up Success Star 2007. I will be writing a weekly blog giving you an insight of working and living in Altea, informing you of the latest happenings in and out of the gallery.
The Fusion Gallery is known as one of the most dynamic and prestigious art galleries on the Costa Blanca, which I am extremely proud of. I exhibit contemporary art, painting, sculpture and photography and I have an impressive stable of established international and local award-winning artists. I also showcase the work of emerging talent. I run regular exhibitions at the gallery and this year I am organising an art competition - I’ll keep you posted.
The gallery is located in the plaza at the top of the old town of Altea, very close to the famous church Virgen del Consuelo, surrounded by fabulous bars and restaurants with which I have a fabulous relationship! I have often been known to call out ‘another glass of rioja please’, which has always been efficiently delivered!!!
The location and the fabulous reputation of the gallery ensures a constant flow of people from all over the world who come in to purchase art, or just to admire the work. Sometimes they ask for advice - and not just on art, but where to eat, where to stay and where to visit - and after living here for 5 years, I have plenty of tips. I have met the most interesting people working in the gallery, from every nationality you can imagine and I truly enjoy every minute of life in Spain!
